Play as the other demons. Isn’t as much fun. The puppeteer is literally the most overpowered character in the game right now. I have it maxed at lvl 45. You can kill all the survivors at threat 10 using just 2 elite units. I’ve only lost 2 games with the puppeteer on my way to lvl 45. It’s so god damn broken a lot of times the survivors just stop shooting and keep running.
quick guide: The survivors have an objective to collect pieces of a map. It tells them approximately in which area those pieces are. So the first thing they will do is get a car and drive to the nearest piece of the map or run there if it’s close enough. They will NOT explore, unless they’re lvl1 new players.
So knowing that the survivors will basically Speedrun the first 3 objectives, as a demon you have 2 options:
(whichever option you choose, Always put down traps on your way to your target when your energy is near max)
1) Fortify the Map and Dagger zones by spamming as many traps as you can before they find the pieces. Usually you can fortify both locations before they find the 3rd piece. After you are done… Make sure your “Traps” upgrade is at Max. Then go to the survivors and harass them all the way to the objective so you can farm XP and waste their items. At the objective wait until they hit a few traps (which will spawn elite units if you maxed it) then spawn your own Elite and posses it. If you’re lucky, 2-3 elites will cast lightning killing the survivors instantly, if not just use the others as a meat shield while you spam your abilities. It’s rare that they survive this. 2) Find the survivors ASAP. Should be easy to do as they will rush towards a car or make noise when they start. Once you find them, try to separate them by stun locking stragglers with traps. After they’re away from the group. Try to down them with the Elite unit. Should be very easy to do if they aren’t smart enough to run like hell. After they’re down do the same for the others. When it’s 1 or 2 ppl left, they will try to revive so follow them and camp shrines while farming XP for your Boss. After your boss is rank 3 it’s game over for them, 1 elite and 1 boss is enough to nuke their health from 100 to 0.
-If somehow they managed to make it to the Dark Ones you messed up but it’s not over yet. Max out your boss, elite and energy. Always have at least 1 elite active when you use the boss. Don’t melee them too often unless they try to revive, just use your 1,2,3 abilities and your Heavy attack when they’re low on health. Your elite should make it hard for them to stand still and shoot. Don’t be afraid if all 4 try to gang up on you, they can’t hit you while you’re moving and using your 1st ability stun locks them.
what you shouldn’t do: 1) Don’t worry about them finding the map pieces, the real fight happens at the dagger and map. 2) don’t waste energy on basic units, you’re just giving them free XP. 3) don’t waste energy possessing survivors unless you’re 100% sure they have a legendary weapon. Otherwise you will do 10x more damage by Power possessing a demon. 4) never waste time placing traps in random locations unless you’re at Max energy and need the XP. 5) don’t waste your fear ability just to fear them. Use it to refill your energy when you spam traps and elites. 6) if all 4 are alive after the dark ones are defeated, do not waste your abilities on the survivors. Swarm the book with as many meat shields as you can and use the boss or Elites to destroy the book. Your abilities still do damage to the book, so you can AoE all 4 survivors and the book at the same time.
3:30 The trapped chest do drop everything a normal chest does (A weapon and Pink F) but it applies the effect of the trap that you put on it. That changes based on what trap you place the hand which applies more damage or the tiny ashes which steal a lot of one item category (long gun ammo, matchsticks, etc.)

Hey delirious just a bit of advice trap the chest with tiny ashes it takes items away from them rather than just dealing damage like the hand chest.
