  1. Rumour has it if you comment early Jakey replies

  2. Y’all should read up on net neutrality, I don’t like being political in YouTube comment sections but this is a really huge deal, the Internet is in trouble

  3. *Unpopular opinion alert:* I’ve always hated the PS1 (and PS2) startup sound. I felt like i was in a cold and scary space cave. I didn’t own a PS1 when i was a kid but i legit dreaded everytime my friend would turn on his PS1 .
The PS3 and PS4 sounds are much warmer and more welcoming. The symphony warming up is a wonderful touch.

  4. I love seeing this have no dislikes at the time of commenting. Deserves the perfect ratio

Edit: damn that one dude to just dislike it

  5. This Video was Awesome. Early PS consoles nostalgia is without a doubt one of the best in gaming history.

  6. Pentex Sucks /Mini Monster/

Was I the only one scared of ps1 and ps2 sounds as a kid?

  7. my dude you are so correct downhill domination is fucking great

  8. Every single f*cking time I took the chance to play the PS1 during the night — hidden from my parents — I would jump my ass off of the bed because I forgot to go mute before turning it on and now there’s that big fat funking foreverlasting eletro doomsday horn from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

    Savage days, indeed.

  9. Damnit I gotta find a PS2 now. I’m an Xbox fanboy but PS2 is my favorite console of all time

  10. Takafumi Fujisawa was the composer of the start up tone for the PS1 🙂

  11. I’m really passionate about the ps2 startup sound too, reminds me of silent Hill

  12. I remember playing as that Australian dude in downhill domination all the time

  13. Jakey’s voice is the only startup sound I need in the morning

  14. The PS2 startup sound was never scary for me, even as a kid. It always meant I was about to have fun, and enjoy myself. Whether it be by winning races and performing takedowns in Burnout 3, or making some sweet combos in Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX 2. To this day, it’s still a warm and inviting sound. Brings back a lot of nostalgia. If I could, I would go back in time and punch my 10-year-old self in the face for trading in my PS2 at Gamestop for like $7 of in-store credit.

But if you tried to start up the PS2 without a disk in, then yes, the red screen and ambiance were pretty scary

  15. I’m thankful for Jakey remembering the super dank sweet nuts that is Downhill Domination.
