Tekken 8 is a fighting game co-developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The eighth main and tenth overall installment in the Tekken series, the game is set to be released on January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Set six months after the events of Tekken 7, the game will focus on the final confrontation between father and son Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.

  10. Tekken seam like a prototype of a game rather than a complete game. There’s no depth to Tekken it’s very shallow. Great story and cut scenes and lots of characters but that’s about it. Tekken should be a street of rage side scrolling fighter game with a PvP mode for the existing mode. Theses fighting games as a stand alone pvp base game is unexceptible. Not just Tekken I’m talking about street fighter and mortal combat as well. There should be a 10 hour campaign story mode and PvP mode at the least in all these games. Hopefully the New street of rage will do this for its release. Tekken suppose the be a side scrolling genre with 3D graphics the camera is all over the place they’ve tried intergrating side scrolling but it’s still basically dead end stages and fighting at the edge of the screen in the main PvP fights. These 3 games have AAA graphics and sorry cut scenes and characters roster and move sets but no game content we’ve been avoiding fighting at the edge of the screen since the 80’s in PvP fight game. I thought they would of at least change the stage layout by now to avoid dead end stages with head hang out at the end of rounds with circle stages on side scrolling genre with a slight pan in and out when players move away from each other and camera control so players never reach the edge of the screen. Circle stages are the most important attribute for PvP side scrolling genre games. Similar to resogun with a wider depth of view. All these games shuld be 3D graphics stage scrolling back grounds. Hopefully this attribute will be added to other AAA side scrolling genre games for example turning corners in games like metriod dreed, trinity and prince of persha. without a multi platform viewing so all visuals are always in side scrolling genre. Side scrolling games never get AAA budget treatment apart from Tekken, mortal combat and street fighter and there all very shallow and basic, relying on a 1980’s genre concept 40 years later. Circle stages world be a good start genuine 3D stages on a side scrolling genre platform. The new flash back and street fighter 6 for example are starting to betray the genre before it even gets to a AAA standard with multi platform viewing with little bits in Third person view and top down, isometric view when the game’s are supposed to be whole hearted 100% side scrolling genre games with 3D graphics and that’s defined with turning corners and circle PvP stage graphics with out losing the side scrolling view as this is the definition of the genre. 49:24
