SolSeraph got some attention before its swift release by claiming to be the spiritual successor to ActRaiser. If that were so, ActRaiser would be turning in its grave.
A dreadful action-platformer bolted onto a pitiful tower defense, SolSeraph is embarrassingly cheap, tacky, and boring. It looks and plays like a mobile game, and is way overpriced.
Just play Bloodstained. Even if you’ve already played Bloodstained.

When Jim titles a video with “taking a dump on” you just know it’s gonna be good.

Hahaha for fuck’s sake, the game looks AWFUL. The overview of the town is okay but the sidescroller part looks like badly cropped .png on top of a Shutterstock background, and the animations are stiff as hell.
Graphics DO matter, folks. They really do.
I loved Zenoclash. It was challenging and fun. And it was genuinely unique. Loved the art direction too. All the people you fight have names and personalities. Its a shame both of them end on cliffhangers.

ActRaiser was a masterpiece. Mind blowing for me when I was a kid in 1991.
