Only (and I mean ONLY) money glitch that actually worked first time without a hassle.

A bit of tips and tricks for you folks trying out this glitch:
1. Before trying the glitch, TURN OFF your Autosave
2. DONT EVER LOOT THE HORSE MANUAL OR PAPER!! If you want to, You could close the loot box and the paper will spawn. But I have never tried looting the horse paper.
3. Before trying the glitch for the first, CREATE a new save. This would be your backup save if you messed up.
4. Get a lot of Horse tonic or whatever item that instantly restore your horse’s stamina. In this way, you would gallop all the way from the sheriff office to emerald farms. It would take roughly 2 tonics for 1 glitch run.
5. If you’re running low on Horse tonic, there’s a stable in Dewberry Creek, southwest of Emerald Farm.
6. Always check if you could save before looting the gold. I do this before entering the sheriff’s office and before looting the gold. There are some cases which you couldn’t save. Such as:
– Hitting a rock in the sheriff office area, in which you and your horse are dismounted. Just hop on the horse again and dismount. Usually you would be able to save after that.
– Dismounting too fast, a bit like bailing out of a car in GTA. If you dismount in mid or high speed you won’t be able to save the game. Just hop on your horse again, full stop with R1 and check if you could save now 🙂
7. After each glitch run, save your game. Doesn’t matter if its a new save or overwrite. This way you would have a return point if you mess up.
8. The glitch run from the sheriff’s office to Emerald Farm is between 5-7 minutes. Depending on how high your horse’s stamina. Mine was half a circle and it took me 2 tonics for 1 glitch run.
9. Seamus the Emerald’s Farm Peddler closes on 12PM in-game time, so make sure you do your glitch run in the morning to maximize the run.
10. If Seamus is close, the nearest Peddler would be in Saint Denis or in Van Horn Trading Post.

FIXED ISSUE: Only getting 2 bars?
-The reason for this is because the pamphlet isn’t there. It turns out that the pamphlet is what allows the glitch to work.
-If it’s not in the box when you first open it, it’s because you probably read the recipe elsewhere before opening the box.
-The ONLY way around this is to either load a save previous to you finding that pamphlet (horse stimulant recipe) OR you’d have to start over.

I tried this… granted it turned it into 2 gold bars but disappeared after I picked up the second bar. I think I will just go back to earning my money honestly. Robbing trains and killin people.

To those complaining about loosing interest in money after and motivation for grinding is gone. Hint. – Dont sell all the Gold Bars. Sell 1 or 2. And stash the rest. Just like Grandma’s used to stash shit back in the days. Like if u Agree
The video is great and the glitch worked out fine, I just personally don’t recommend doing it. Since I’ve done this glitch my game is way more bugy than before, in addition to the fact that getting money is one of the key and fun parts of the game. It ain’t realistic at all if Dutch says “we need more money!” and you have your gold weapons at the back and 15.000$ in your pockets. I mean you don’t even need that much money, the 1.500$ from the three gold bars and the story missions will end up being largely enough. Just a personal recommendation, if you don’t care than go for it, just so you know I am redoing a new file just to have a proper one … (throwing another 50h to the trash)
To those who isn’t working, make sure you don’t grab the paper!
Is it just me that dosent want to do it but at the same time dosent want to miss out on what other people have
how it worked for me
1. turn off autosave
2. create a new save outside the sheriffs building just in case you mess up you have a place to go back to
3. go inside and open the box. leave the pamphlet alone.
4. hold the button to pick up the gold bar but as soon as you bend down pause and save.
5. load the save you just did while at the box.
6. go back to the box and the pamphlet will missing and begin picking up the 30 bars.
7. sell them at the fence
8. to repeat process. create a save before going in the sheriffs building. and save again before you pick up the bar and follow 5. and continue.
this is what worked for me today. i stopped at 2 times so i ended with 30k
