When you enter a house, try to look around for lockers/things to hide behind. Then when the hunts start, turn off your equipment INCLUDING FLASHLIGHT (or use it in bursts) and get to that hiding spot. Make sure to turn off your equipment+flashlight before you go into the locker/closet/hiding spot.
And maybe have one of you have a smudge stick+lighter. Then when a hunt starts, use the smudge stick on the ghost then run. It will be confused for a few seconds and lose track of you.

During hunts ghosts can now track you by talking and you gotta turn your torch off too. Otherwise they gonna find yo ass
