  1. In summary, things that *actually* helped:
    * going outside
    * having a structured thing to do
    * coffee in the morning

@electric berry I mean that’s a common side effect but for a lot of people it’s complete absent from the experience. For some they’ll get just a tiny bit jittery but the focus will make it feel okay for them. I don’t get that effect unless I have way too much caffeine but yeah once I do it’s terrible and makes it not at all worth being a little more focused and energetic tbh

    • Der Spieleganon

      …sleeping?

    • littlebluecaboose

      * eating a breakfast with protein in it so you don’t crash later in the day

    • Tbh I thought he was gonna circle back to running a mile and realize it just means exercise. Since exercise and movement increases stamina, eg. Cardio workouts.

    • Mr.Wonderful Wisdomous Wondertainment

HA what that didn’t help did we see the same video you gotta go sacrifice your health early on to get more stamina later

  2. your problem was you did too much at once, and caused an integer overflow. your stamina went past max and wrapped around to zero. it’s the same reason Ghandi in Civ games becomes a nuclear powerhouse in late game.
for future trials, I suggest the final test should “combine” each test in a more literal sense- rather than just doing all of them at once, you should grill the steaks in the monster energy drink, and then wear them as a mask.

  3. BDG: posts a new vid
My brain: you can have little a serotonin. As a treat.

  4. I have a story where I did do something similar to this.

Ungodly amount of coffee, specifically the brand “Banned Coffee”
Six tbsp of it to brew 5 cups. After drinking five cups, my face started going numb, which I thought was the common symptom after ingesting caffeine at the time, along with a slight headache. The headaches soon evolved into a migraines and my stomach soon felt like an army has pillage it with fire. This continues for 1 hour before I began to feel nauseous. The feeling of puke did not fully emerge until another hour passed. I managed to hold it down and continue took a nap for 3 hours, the migraine continues pounding away at my head. At this point I needed to take Ibuprofen and some antacid to keep my food down. It gave me enough energy to last me for 26 full hours before I even showed signs of exhaustion. At the end of the day, I took a total of 3 Ibuprofen and 4 antiacid. Energy would have been at a 10 if the backlash wasn’t so bad. Overall, I would rate this method a 3 due to its severe side effects.

    TL;DR
Used 6 tbsp of “Banned Coffee” to brew 5 cups of coffee.
Gave me 26 hours of energy, but the severe side effects makes it not worth it. 3/10

  5. Morgan Bramstedt

i audibly said “oh no” as i watched brian fill his bottle and then take those GULPS of monster

  6. Paradoxical Purple

BDG: Stamina. That mysterious green juice that powers our muscles.
    Me: *uhhhhh*

  7. Same. Except I have laundry chair and laundry bench.

  8. Brian saying that he cant find a way to harm himself to gain energy implies that he would if he found a way

  9. In Dark Souls, your stamina is drained by:
    – Attack
    – Block
    – Run
    – Parry
    – Roll
    – Backstep
    – Backstab
    – Ripost
    – Jump
    – Shoot Arrows
    – Call Your Mom
    – Check Your Bank Account

I’m pretty sure those last two are universal to all games, including Outside. (except after about 15 minutes in an incremental game, I suppose.)

14:30 Jenna looks just disappointed in you while Pat looks like he wishes he could trade places but doesn’t want to outwardly show it

    • Mr.Wonderful Wisdomous Wondertainment

Pat contains more chaos then Gilbert he just doesn’t show it so giving him more stamina would be AWESOME

  11. You’ve inspired me to start taking a mid afternoon walk. Staying cooped up all day, only leaving to run a boring errand, it was really getting to me. I also might wear a piece of gaudy jewelry and pretend it is magical. Hey, whatever helps, right?

  12. me, laying in bed after binging on cheez-it snack mix at 11 pm: “oh hell yeah, brian, show me how to improve my stamina”

  13. I have a laundry chaise. It’s fancier, yet still soul-sucking.

  14. Gotta love how he acknowledges the scientifically accurate possibility of doing actual exercise to increase one’s stamina (RDR2) and blatantly disregards it
Edit: after finishing the video, he does end up kinda doing exactly that (increasing stamina by taking walks/ doing chores and activities)

  15. I would love a “Polygon Pitches” channel.

The Boss: What are you going to do, BDG?
BDG: I’m going to drink a dangerous amount of energy drinks, consume a bunch of bad steak, and then do what can only be described as “man in the iron mask” myself.
The Boss: Sounds good. Make sure you look over HR’s health policy. We only cover what we cover.
BDG: Thank you, and I sure do love this capitalist hellscape we all live in!

  16. @Crispman 777 well, yknow what they say. A good steak pun is a rare medium well done.

  17. Decaf [Invidia]

But… the roasting of the meat over the fire shows an animation of it changing color to match a well done steak….
    Wouldn’t it still apply?

  18. So you’re saying that the meme “well done, steak!” Is a better translation

  19. TeaReesa26 oh goodness

  20. isn’t “trade life for stamina” basically going on a run? lmao

  21. Liliana Lancheros

Needs more signing to be a channel video!

  22. I don’t have a laundry chair…. but a laundry stool lol

  23. **French Music**

  24. Imagine xDDD

  25. So what you’re saying is… it was a well done steak instead of a well-done steak.

  26. I have a laundry rocking chair!

  27. @Nicest Pancake burnt meat gang gang

  28. Right? I am physically ill

  29. When he followed that up by describing it as “something detrimental,” I thought of my adderall (and my own video game style stack of supplements that I take to keep it from making me crash.)

  30. That’s on BDG’s Break.com account
