Honestly, and I got to be real here, I regret with every bone in my body that I didn’t talk more with my father when I was young because I was interested in playing video games like a fucking loser.
I don’t regret all of them, many of them taught me things that I would have never learned anywhere else which I continue to look favorably today.
However, the majority of the things like Runescape (which I only spent a day on), Pokemon, or other garbage that were usually played with a lot of people without any story with defined characters was always a waste of time for me.
All of the online games, all of the popular games, all of the games that were just for “fun”, pretty much every shooter (except Halo in co-op for the story mode as a way of figuring things out with friends), all were a complete waste of time.
TLDR: If you’re a kid, please talk more with your parents about their life and their experiences than spending all of your time playing video games or talking to your friends.
You will regret it for the rest of your life if you don’t.
PS: Even if you’re an adult, speak to the elderly. You will be amazed what you can learn.
