To make it a bit easier for you, i suggest you take your time with the lock, just watch the pins move up and down slowly then click when you get their timing right, that’s how Cartoonz did it in his video.
You can try and put traps in front of the vents, or even lock them, but i’d say use them to look the doors to rooms that go directly to certain statues, just to make it harder for the thief to get to them. Or even put those trip wires in places the thief can’t jump over them, such as the vent again.
But ultimately it’s up to you on how you wish to proceed or try to outsmart the thief. Or the guard if you’re playing said thief.
