To all the people belittling France’s part in the wars, I’ll say this. Our fields burned. Our cities were bombed. Our homes crumbled beneath artillery fire. Our families were not safe, in a place far away, they died when the tanks powered through our walls. By bayonets, bullets and shells we died on the field, in our homes. Twice. Our country was scarred, to the point where we still find unexploded ordnance on a regular basis in our soil, and only a few places in the world have experienced modern warfare as we did. Germany is one of them. That’s why I’ll always feel closer to the germans, rather than to the americans. They know. Never again.

My Great Granduncle was killed by an artillery shell in the battle of Chemin Des Dames in 1917 fighting for France, after he survived the Battle of Verdun.
My Great Grandfather (My profile picture) had his eye cut out by shrapnel, but survived, and was awarded with the Legion of Honour Medal for his bravery in combat.
Battlefield devs should really just close the comment section completely.
Fun fact: African American soldiers weren’t allowed to fight with the US military during World War 1. So they had to fight alongside the French. That’s why the guy in the first level of the campaign is wearing a French Army helmet.
People complaining about “Historical Inaccuracies.”
Yesterday, I saw two planes collide head on at full speed….only to Bounce off and fly in different directions…Accurate cannot describe this game no matter What they do to it.
Okay, lets give them they want. You want accuracy? Fine. You will remain in camp until ordered to move out. You will stay with your group, no loners on this crusade. You are NOT Rambo, you will die out there. Speaking of which, if you die…That’s it, no respawns.
Why don’t dice add a German story side because fun fact German soldiers weren’t monsters and just followed orders from the top same as any other side
Hell yeah! Give some recognition to France during WW1 but I do have some points to clear up
1. They should of being included in the base multiplayer factions and in the campaign. Shame Dice, they were the closest in being landlocked to Germany and so always had the fear of a succesful invasion compared to isolationlist Britain and America (Not downgrading their efforts) So arguably the most important allied nation and pretty much the main force opposing Germany. (It’s because they don’t speak English or they are not the Villains is why they are not included)
2. Black Soliders is becoming a little too diverse. Yes, I understand all the european powers have colonial troops but the majority in the european front were european. I’m not trying start something here so don’t label me as Racist as I am not white nor Alt Right. It will be more logical, respectful and more national for all the European Powers in European Maps to be European. Imagine, a French guy wanting to be his ancestor in a game fighting against the Germans! (National Pride for the Win)
Either ways, at least France makes sense as Hellfighter (US Units) did fight in the French side as the Americans did not want them but for Germany it makes no sense. (All their troops were tied up in Africia)
Dice did do it right including a Sikh or Indian medic for the British side. (Good job of diversity)
If we are in a Colonial Map, Make each class black then! I don’t care just don’t paint something as it was not.
3. Stop making France surrendering jokes or disrespecting them. While they made some mistakes during WW1, they were the closest to Germany and take the brunt of damage. If the US were next to Germany, I think the same can be applied. It was different war and because of that War, they drained their manpower.
Germany was top dog in Military even Britain and America needed help from everyone else. No one says Loser Britain during the Hundred Year War or Loser Europe during Napoloenic Era. Just because it’s further apart doesn’t mean we should forget it.
(Funny no one says Loser America too during the Vietnam War)
Lesson Kids: Respect your history but don’t change it no matter how it was.
Germany embraced their dark history while Japan try hide it and changed it.

To whoever it is that’s making these new DLC: why are you not including Belgian forces? we managed to hold off the Germans at the Yser river for the ENTIRE duration of the war!! ofcourse I can’t say that without thanking the French, Canadian, British and American reinforcements for helping out BUT STILL! Belgium has seen some of the fiercest battles such as: the siege of Antwerp, the battle of Passchendaele, the battle of Ypres, the Battle for Vimy-ridge, the battle for the Yser-river and many many more. I know that there will be a naval DLC about the blockade of the British dreadnoughts at the port of Bruges/Zeebrugge BUT WE WANT MAJOR LAND BATTLES IN BELGIUM!! Did you know that Belgium was one of the first countries to include armoured vehicles? there was a detachment of armoured Belgian cars who drove all the way to Russia! PLEASE LIKE MY COMMENT SO THE DEVELOPERS CAN SEE THIS. IF THE ITALIAN ARE INCLUDED THEN SO CAN WE, BRAVE LITTLE BELGIANS!!
