So I finally caught up on Attack on Titan and was absolutely blown away by it, I never thought the series would get this good when looking back when this first aired, but here we are now.
Why Attack on Titan is a masterpiece and it’s best aspects:
1.) Storyline.
2.)Animation.
3.)Music.

@Joshua Pireh code Geass matches attack on titan in terms of quality. It’s amazing and has the best ending I’ve ever seen in anime
@Pelvis Helvis i think Geass’s plot is like Death Note’s plot. But main character there just anticipating everything and it becomes grotesque. In my mind AoT’s storyline is rather adequate but still exciting. So imho AoT better
@Pelvis Helvis LOL code geass tries to be a high school romance, ecchi , harem , mecha , psychological thriller all at the same time . very poorly written series imo . the characters designs look really bad and the only the ending was good but the way we got there was horrible

@Jason Pan That would be too simple imo. I kinda agree with the youtuber who made this video. I first enjoyed season 1 aswell and only hated the part of how people could turn into titans, but a lot of people and myself incl ofc realised soon the show was just pure entertainment with no depth. Now it has depth, the world isnt black and white while still having the “epicness” of what original season. It evolved into something amazing/special.

@Jason Pan I can’t tell you what the writer is doing. But don’t you feel bad for him at all? He’s done everything he could to save his friends and end the “war”, yet people still gets killed incl. Sasha. Why do you think Eren was laughing when Sasha died? He couldn’t take it anymore. After that event, Eren became even colder than he already was. He tried to make all the people he care for hate him and tried to keep them from danger. I wouldn’t be surprised if his end goal isn’t happy at all and the reason why he tries to make his friends hate him to not make them sad when he fulfilled his mission while either dying or trapped somewhere forever.

I’d beg to differ honestly. I would describe it as going from overrated to underrated. Yes, the first season was a phenomenon for totally understandable reasons, but it’s as Gigguk said it always felt quite hollow. The show went from being just good, to incredible. That’s my personal view.

Eren infiltrated Marley and made a surprising attack, but before he had a speech with reiner, where reiner wanted eren to kill him for the bad things he made on Paradis, but eren said he is just going to do the same they did on Paradis, so he proceeds to transform and kill thousand of innocent people in Marley, just to do the same thing reiner and Berthold did that day

Given the quality of the anime, and my initial opinion for the manga art-style, I’ve chosen to stick to the anime. I’d rather discover the twists and turns through those spectacular episodes. I’ll then fish for the missing details afterwards.
