Anthem had a “loot shower” this weekend that caused masterwork and legendary items to drop at a vastly increased rate. It was reportedly the most fun Anthem had ever been.
BioWare fixed it within hours. Quicker, in fact, than it had fixed things like excessive load times.
Having had a taste of the high life, players are reluctant to return to Anthem’s grinding, discouraging endgame. They want the loot shower back, and they’ve staged a blackout protest to get it.
Whether or not that succeeds remains to be seen, but there’s quite a bit to tackle here, considering BioWare rushed to fix a bug that made the game *more fun*.

Some of those “FANS” deserve an increase of the grind AFTER tasting the loot drop increase…

I hope those Dragon’s Dogma jokes were intentional because they were… Masterworks.
But why would players pay for micro-transactions if they can get in game rewards without excessive in game grinding!?!?!

Sometimes farming Primed parts feels kinda tiring but then I glance at Anthem and I think it wasn’t that bad after all

Dude the music just made me nostalgia trip so hard. God I loved FFX
This reminds me of raiding in MMO’s Nothing worse than completing an hours long raid and walking away empty because the die roll for equipment didn’t go your way. It’s why I stopped playing. Effort should always reap some sort of reward worth that effort in a video game.
I can’t believe you’ve made no less than 8 THOUSAND videos on Anthem and I have to say I admire your dedication.
