Apparently, Unity went to the same school of thought as Wizards of the Coast. They made the exact same damed dumb mistake with D+D’s OGL 1.1.
I wonder if annoys people with all the power that someone dares to push back against them. Imagine living in that level of delusion.

There are reports that Unity’s CEO as well as many executives in the company sold a large amount of their own shares around a week before the announcement.
Those people KNEW how bad of an idea it was. They KNEW that the backlash was inevitable. They FEARED the backlash so badly that they’ve possibly committed insider trading to prevent losses to their own pockets…
And yet they went with it.
Is there an insider trading thing? This feels like an insider trading thing. Either that or whoever made this decision was looking to sink Unity to claim it as a tax write off. Because they simply couldn’t be this stupid.
Bethesda and cyberpunk: let’s throw all away our goodwill??

It takes a lot for the gaming community to almost unanimously condemn something abominable without being more concerned with being able to enjoy games anyway or blame SJWs so congrats to Unity for this terrible milestone.

I know that the chances are not that high but I would laugh my ass off if the entire company were to go bankrupt because of this and even if they run it all back their reputation is pretty much tarnished for good now.

JSS, as much as I love your commentary, and agree with your stance, I have to say that it’s the editing, the videos and photos chosen, that guarantee I’ll watch every episode of this. This time it’s the sequence from about 16:30 to 16:35. It’s perfect. And that’s only one of a half-dozen examples, at least, every episode. Laughter amongst the tears.
