Thanks for all the likes and support on the horror games lately! Means the world to me fam. Also just a heads up there are no jump scares in this video. With that being said this game made me feel a lot of anxiety for some reason which made me get sick during it. Jump scare games don’t really bother me that much but this really got me because it’s endless dread. Never had this happen before so I guess I have a fear of liminal spaces now.

I think any game like this with commentary is always going to be less scary than the person experiencing it. Even with no commentary it still won’t be as scary, simply because the viewer isn’t suffering their own consequences. No one watching a horror game is IN the horror. They aren’t making decisions and wondering whether they’re about to be spooked. We are taking in the experience as it happens but otherwise have no real input on it. And with commentary…well you just aren’t alone anymore. As the commentator, you’re hearing your own voice. It’s still you alone. With commentary? It’s not just the viewer. That said…scary shit can still be just as scary. It won’t consistently be scary though. Ambient fear is hard to achieve in this format.
