Just because they introduced paying multiplayer on consoles i think i’ll never get a microsoft console.
Jim fails to mention that the xbox platform is by far the most pro consumer platform this generation. Promising that people will always be able to keep and play their games for each new system to come as well as giving players options as to how they want to pay and play those games. PS4 could require a blood sacrifice to turn on and people would still say “At least it has more exclusives”
I only disagree with the notion of subscription models. It’s dangerous for videogames.
You know how many more microtransactions will be suddenly ‘justified’ if publishers skip out on the revenue from a 60 USD per game purchase?

Couldn’t agree with you more, I have been having this discussion myself. Its no longer an argument anymore about wether “Sony or Microsoft” are better, you are genuinely missing out on good games by buying an Xbox, and i think that’s sad, i feel bad for people who stuck with their beloved company hoping they would deliver on their promises. i really do hope they catch up and begin to outdo Sony because old Sony is slowly creeping back, especially with the whole cross play thing. their getting too comfortable.

Why does everyone forget about Killer Instinct? I love some KI, still play it off and on today and that was a launch title.
The biggest takeaway for me why I won’t consider buying an XBox One is the exclusives. Exclusives sell a console, and they are what make me WANT to purchase a console. If all XBox One exclusives are on Windows…well…why not just get a Windows computer then? Not only can I play those games, but also a bunch of games exclusive to Steam (the good ones), and other PC exclusives.
Frankly, the only people I can see getting an XBox One at this point are A. XBox fanboys/fangirls (Who likely already have the console.) B. Those who prefer a controller over a keyboard (Even though you can set up XBox controllers to PCs if I am correct…). C. Those who don’t want to buy an expensive gaming computer or try building their own. If anything, I feel kinda sorry for those who own an XBox One, as there are likely better options with a wider selection of games. Honestly….the XBox One just feels kinda pointless…

The PS4 has the best console exclusives. The Switch has portability, a friendly place for indies and some great exclusives. The XBox One-but-not-the-first has….errrr….sorry, I’ve got nothing, plus it has the interface downgrades that started in Windows 8, were almost universally hated in the Windows phones and continued being terribad in Windows 10 (because Microsoft refuses to learn from obvious feedback). So yeah, its not really a console with any alluring differentials.
I only give a damn about Japanese games, namely anime ones, so Xbox can suck it.
