Remember when BHVR were praised for their Dead By Daylight Silent Hill DLC? A faithful adaptation of the first three games, with easter eggs galore? A peaceful end to Silent Hill after all of the mediocre titles?

I had no idea what SH Ascension was and just stayed away, not trusting Konami after the mobile Castlevania debacle. Even with rock bottom expectations, I am amazed by how fuckular it is.
There may be one thing to come out of this: any whale spending money on this crap may finally realize that they have a serious problem

I feel like this could work (or could have worked 20 years ago on network TV). It’s the social media monetization paradox once again, though. It’s hard to monetize something the customer contributes labor towards. I build my myspace page (a site from back when this would have worked) with all my favorite interests to participate with my friends, which is its own reward. Paying for shortcuts or bonuses negates the appeal.

2:14 IDW… Truly a company with some of the best and some of the worst comics of all time. Also a company that failed at doing crossover event comics almost as hard as it failed to backdoor pilot launch a new IP (CVO: Covert Vampire Operations) out of the non-crossover cross-IP event comics. At least we _finally_ got MLP/Transformers a few years ago.
I haven’t read the Transformers comics nor had I kept up with the MLPFiM comics but it was certainly well worth the wait, even if I was unfamiliar with some of the Transformers characters and there were some that weren’t even in the Transformers comics like the IDW G1 version of that one cowboy Decepticon from Cyberverse.

At the very least, this isn’t going to catch on because this kind of interactive broadcast thing has been tried before and it’s never been anything more than a niche that eventually dies out.
Also Nintendo Satellaview already got the live broadcast video game model right and it’s sad that no one ever tried it again and that while the games were preserved and the events can be emulated, most of the audio for the broadcasts wasn’t preserved as the broadcasts were by the now-defunct radio broadcast company (and apparently the world first digital satellite radio station), St.GIGA and not Nintendo.
That Pyramid Head outfit is definitely making its way into the bedroom.
I had a genuinely lovely interaction with the creator of Pyramid Head, and at times like these: I like to think about that.
