Electronic Arts may not have jettisoned quite so many workers as Activision Blizzard did, but 350 lost jobs under a CEO whose salary sits at $1,141,731 with a $2,500,000 bonus is nothing to sniff at.
EA has laid off workers across marketing, publishing, and other areas, offering nothing but mealy mouthed crap by way of explanation. As ever, these layoffs came after months of uncertainty for the workers.
The mental anguish of expected layoffs is considered a normal part of the industry. It’s not normal though. The system is not normal.
