Quadrubisoft’s Quadruple-A Quadswallop (The Jimquisition)

Ubisoft thinks its new pirate game, yet another open world “live service” – deserves to charge $70 because it’s a “Quadruple-A” game. I mean, for crying out loud! Let’s absolutely have fun tearing this nonsense down!

  1. Having popped into the recent beta and played Skull and Bones for a while, I can say that it’s overpriced even at $60, frankly.

  2. The part around 7:40 reminds me ‘When Jim Sterling was sued for 10 mil’ and it’s money section… Love that video.

  3. “Anna-theme-a”

    That made me chuckle xD

  4. @coltonruscheinsky7863

    Ubisoft, more like Poopi-soft.

  5. Hope you’re doing well, Steph. Love you and wish I could give you a big hug <3

  6. …I’d pay 69.99 for a Bulk and Skull game

  7. @DarkQueenMarceline

Good thing Hello Games are my favorite devs.

  8. Ad avernum atrox assholes

  9. The music over Steph’s intro and outro is really familiar to me but I can’t place it

  10. @fromthedumpstertothegrave3689

I love being reminded nearly every monday to video search sasha gray. Thanks Steph!

  11. Huh. Haven’t been here for a while, and hearing the voice after a long time is an uncanny valley of its own kind.

  12. Even if Ubisoft was magically purged of the abusive shitheads and those compliant in the abuse and the game was ethically developed by a team who turned the SnB into one of the greatest games of the generation that unquestionably proved that Quadruple A was a standard worth creating, that would still not magically justify a 70 dollar price tag.
I know I am parroting a point Steph made in the past, but 70 dollars is still a good amount of cash, so it is still unreasonable to ask for it for a game when more and more people find that money is getting tighter.

  13. As soon as i heard this bullshit quadruple a thing, i knew we were gonna get a banger of a Jimquisition

Charging more for equally (or more) shit products is just another way of giving their fans less game per buck.

    Same goal, different strategy.

Soon we will be paying 20 bucks to preview an early release trailer for a octoble A game sales pitch 😅

Not sure how to do the numbers, is it octoble? I ment 8A, lol

Comparing Bulk & Skull to AAAA(hhh!) is a bit of an insult to that noble duo whom have far higher moral standards.

  16. I think Tears of the Kingdom mostly justifies the price bump, still didn’t get it until a sale, & would fully recommend anyone who intends to buy it do the same.

  17. “It’s about the only Triple-A publisher I’d actually trust to hit a deadline” while talking about Bull & Bores…

  18. I remember back in the 90s and early 2000s bigger pc game developers were called… BIG BOX developers because their games came in… big boxes. I like that better than AAA. I am waiting on them to start saying “we aren’t AAA tier, we’re S tier… SS tier…”

  19. Sales calls it “Early release pre-order bonus:, the game calls it “paid last minute QA”
