Overwatch fans have had their hearts broken once again, as Activision Blizzard recently announced it was ceasing development on features promised since 2019. That is crappy. That is frustrating. That is pure Activision!

Honestly, I want to say Overwatch 2 stuff is a surprise but… It’s really not, Those legacy currencies inside the game from Overwatch 1 unused currency was bullcrap considering it’s the same damn game.

I love how they say that they can’t add this stuff in because of scope creep when Battleborn shipped with this exact feature in 2016! Overwatch 2 was only ever an excuse to make people buy their skins again. I miss Battleborn :[

The thing that really cracks me up about all of this, is that, the whole situation could have been managed by Blizzard much better. Simple way out? Don’t cancel the “Hero Mode” just announce, that some of it’s features will be cut, because of reasons. Here. Done. Since PVE missions and story levels are still coming to the game, then why not just do that? Would some people be disapointed? Sure. But entire narration would have been “Hero Mode has dropped features”, instead of “The only reason Overwatch 2 is Overwatch 2 was cancelled”.

I think it’s unfair to pretend Activision is Blizzard’s downfall and not Blizzard themselves.

God I loved Overwatch for the first 2 or 3 years. Bought two versions.
I fell off so hard that even tho I had two free copies of Overwatch 2 (before it became free) I never tried it or reinstalled

War Craft 3 was the last time I played a blizzard game… Online games don’t interest me in the slightest. I love being alone so playing with others online is not my cup of tea.
All of you complaining about overwatch and you cant beat me at it. I havent spent one dollar on the game and my Kill death ratio is around 72:28. My suggestion is get good.
I’m happy to have dropped playing Overwatch 2. I never spent any money on it and tried to focus on the “fun” aspect of the game only to realize there wasn’t one.
Back to Old School Runescape and Trailblazer Reloaded… maybe one day I will get Diablo IV if I can get it for less than 10 euros. The “base” version is still being sold for 40+.
