1. I love how Scorpion manages to disarm Shao, who’s built like a mountain, with his hands still chained! Absolute badassery right there.
2. At a time when “so that just happened” dialogue infects so much of our modern media, I just appreciate how the characters say something as silly as “soul stealer” without a single trace of irony. That’s the charm of Mortal Kombat, it embraces its absurdity, but plays it completely straight at the same time.
