This reminds me of zwelious from pokemon. The two heads would constantly fight each other until one head was found to be dominant and would take complete control once it evolved into hydreigon. I believe Matt actually did a theory on this too regarding the non-dominant head losing its consciousness and ability to think.

I hate this portrayal of the hydra and always will. A hydra has nine heads, the middle head is immortal and when one of the mortal heads is cut off two more pop up
I wonder if creatures meant to have multiple heads would fare better in the wild than creatures with mutations that give them multiple heads, like those turtles and snakes.
