Depicting XOver as a pit of death spikes Mega Man just Rush Jets over and pretends never happened…. I don’t know if that’s intentional or not, but if so, it’s amazing.
There are two things that the developers made very clear in the stream when they revealed the game.
One is that Megaman has been dead since foreeeeever (they *actually* said foreeeeever), and needs to be revived.
The other one is that they’ve been trying to get this project off the ground for ages, again and again.
So I think this one won’t get cancelled.
Also the devs really understand Megaman, both what people like of the character and what they like of his games. I trust these guys.
