Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game in which players are able to attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Locations from the Wizarding World franchise will be explorable such as the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade. During character creation the player is able to choose their appearance, house, and gender. Players will be able to customize their character’s voice, body type and add accessories such as glasses in character creation. Level progression will allow the player to access and upgrade different spells, talents, and abilities.

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 1890s and follows a student starting at Hogwarts in the fifth year. As the player is starting at the school later than other students, a wizards field guide is given by the Ministry of Magic. Completing sections of this guide through exploration provides additional information and experience points. The player character, who holds the key to an “ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart”, is capable of manipulating a mysterious ancient magic, and will need to help uncover why this forgotten magic has suddenly made a resurgence and the ones that are simultaneously trying to harness it.

  1. Appreciate the love on this series so far! I was hyped to fly finally lol

  2. Please revisit Sekiro

  3. 19:31 That child turns out to be Kassandra from AC Odyssey

  4. How fake Can online comments be

  5. When is next one coming… Halooo… Its good game and story appears to be be much better than the Potter movies.

  6. @theRadBrad you do realize that you can both change the appearance of your outfitted items – by hovering over the item then pressing square, as well as putting on your hood by hovering over the cloak and pressing triangle, correct?

  7. Keeps taking me out of the story

I love that the teacher says “thank you” to the broom when summoning it, very sweet detail! I also like that even though teacher told off our character in that we shouldn’t have gone off course she couldn’t help but complement them for their skill. I really love this game and I think they’re beautifully done!

  9. Based on the videos you’ve released in this playlist so far I think the story is engaging, and the game looks pretty. Even without the connection to the HP franchise, I think the game would still have the potential to be quite successful.

My main issue with the aesthetic of the game is that it doesn’t fully conform with how I imagined Hogwarts and Hogsmeade to be while reading the books. This is not a failing on the game designers, though, as I am pretty sure there are almost as many interpretations of how the world should look like as there are people who prefer the books over the films.

  10. All these damn ads ruins the experience

  11. Do try to get the opening of chests . Maybe a spell to do the trick . Allo hamora or something

  12. Ever since the Headmaster said “no quidditch” this year I’ve been WAITING for the underground quidditch club to reach out to Clem 😀

  13. I can’t get over how well the game is made. Especially how brilliantly they made the spells to appear and the combat!
