Fallout 76 is a bad videogame, this is something I have factually established. I am a fair and just man, however, and this is why I returned to Appalachia for Fallout 76: Wastelanders. The long-awaited update finally puts some Fallout into the Fallout game, and it’s… alright I guess.
Wastelanders isn’t too bad if your standards for quality haven’t risen in the last five years. It’s ugly, broken, clunky, and the NPCs aren’t good enough to be in The Sinking City. It’s a barely acceptable Fallout experience though, and by modern Bethesda standards? That’s a miracle.
I’m delighted you played this…..so I dont have to.
And so begins the ritual of “It’s not so bad now, they fixed it!” as a means of sweeping the inexcusable actions of Bethesda under the rug to try and make us forget about it.

At last! I’d been starting to worry that the wastelanders update was actually good!

Edit: I meant this as a summarization of Jim’s review not as my taking, I played the original game once my friends account who gave bought and never played again and told me to try before buying myself this update may consider me to buy it but I’m still waiting since I like playing the outerwolds more and I giving up on the game a while ago.

My favourite game can also be played as a traditional frisbee, but let’s be honest here… Neither of those things are going to happen.
It’s got micro transactions.
It’s got a subscription fee.
Why even give the content a chance? It’s exploitative trash that will be free to play.
“Good Enough To Be A Worse Fallout 4” is one of the most positive things i’ve ever heard about Fallout 4 tbh.
