Remember when gear box put a fan into borderlands 2? And he gifted you random games. Remember when blizzard put text over one of the suits in lijiang tower to honor someone who died doing something right days before over watch came out? Remember when Nintendo put a thing for iwata at the end of Starfox zero? I remember. What ever you think of those games. Atleast they did it in good way. Plus there is that character that looks like iwata in breath of the wild. But nvm that.

In the case of Shadow of War. If the team wanted to honor the guy, it should have been done on their own time. And should have been a gift to the community. Maybe a short description with background when you when you download it. Or they could have secretly put it in. It wouldn’t have been the first time devs put one over on the publisher
Shadow of war was a game I was probably gunna buy but after loot boxes and pizza bites and this new problem makes me want to return Shadow Of Mordor… no joke
My only sensible opinion on this matter: a boneheaded move in incredible bad taste, of which a thousand other moves could have been made that would have made WB come out on top.

I have a feeling that this is just a giant f*ckup from the legal dept at WB not realizing that in making it legally squeaky clean they accidentally made it look (and function) like a sick cash-in. Hopefully the backlash will make them look into fixing it, and not just make them have a knee-jerk reaction against “entitled gamers”.

Can I live in the same world as everyone else. Where medical bills and having to pay to bury someone don’t exist. I’m pretty sure people have life insurance because burying someone, no matter what fashion they die in, costs money and the whole point of it is they don’t have to go bankrupt from the costs. The world is just getting worse every year where people don’t have all the facts, but they’ll just make up their own conclusion and call it a day, a nice pat on the back for a job well done.
