I realize this will reinforce the “Sony Shill” thing (which is ironic if you’ve known me long enough to remember when I was the “anti-Sony bias Nintendo shill”), but Horizon: Zero Dawn’s success is worth talking about.
The game’s doing well, and while those who loyally defend plastic machinery might think otherwise, that’s a good thing for everybody. Yes, even if you’re putting all your stock in the Switch.
20 minutes up and there’s no dislikes? i’m impressed.

Thank god we’re finally getting some new IPs in gaming again.
After so going through so much sequels, remakes and reboots in movies and games, I’m glad we’re getting some variety for once.
But… Horizon Zero Dawn pretty much is a direct sequel to open-world games like Far Cry Primal etc…. Including quite a lot of it’s flaws. There’s very little innovation in that game man.
I don’t think so Jim. The success of Horizon Zero Dawn clearly indicates the beggining of an era of oppersion towards animal-like AI.
Breath of the Wild is ok. It’s not amazing. Sure it may have a “huge world” but that shit is empty as fuck. NPCs? The all go on about literally nothing. It’s weak. The game itself is fun, but the overall it’s weak compared to every other AAA openworld game out there.
The game seems really generic tho nothing innovative.
I will say this: next time some CEO says female leads can’t sell, point to this game and tell that CEO “I’m putting one in anyway”.

Hey I haven’t watched the video yet but I have opinions. This game is an example of SJWs infiltrating game design. You can tell because the protagonist is a woman. We need to not allow games like this to be made. Also censorship is bad.

Horizon zero dawn is probably good regardless of zelda. and zelda is good regardless of Horizon. as a consumer why do you care whos on top? they’re both great games and competition drives innovation up and prices down. stop bitching about how MUH SYSTEM IS BETTER. competition drives us forward and id say its necessary, so stop being a dick about it.
I also have to give Horizon: Zero Dawn praise for having such a huge diverse cast of characters of different races and genders that are viewed equally to each other.
