I own dynasty ,4 5, 5 Empires, 6, 6 empires, 7, 8, gundam 3, samurai 2, 2 empires, and all three Orochi titles, all on Xbox. NOT localising this shit, when you have THIS level of asset flipping (not that I’m complaining, really, as they’re all different enough that even the blatant flips that are the orochi games DO something original with them) is inexcusable.
The warriors series, along with Tecmo Koei’s lesser known titles, don’t sell well In the US with Hyrule Warriors selling more than what Dynasty Warriors 4-8 sold (I forgot how many copies dynasty warriors 3 sold in the US). As much as I hate it, I don’t blame Tecmo Koei for cutting corners at least in the American market.

Reason why there’s no more English dubs for the Warriors series was because people kept saying how shit the dubs were and the Warrior’s director had a shitfit about it and just decided ‘fuck it, we won’t bother with them anymore’.
So it’s because they were lazy with the voice and then the director couldn’t take critism about it.

The worst, stupidest character in whole DoA series, and she gets a spot in the game… Marie I can understand, it’s a bait for pedos (yeah yeah, she is supposed to be 18), but Honoka? I never understood why she is popular.
Talking about Tecmo Koei asset flipping their own game… Gundam Dynasty Warriors 4! After slowly building up a big fan base behind Gundam Dynasty Warriors, they farted out number 4 with *no* marketing and dropping ALL of the localised voice work. What a surprise, they KILLED one of my favourite game series.

The amount of re-using stuff is fucking mental. Like 50% is straight ripped out of Samurai Warriors 4 and Dynasty Warriors 8.
And some of it is just re-skinned stages and character models (Generic officers etc).
But the games fun, It plays more like Hyrule warriors than any of the other warriors games.
