  1. Serena Williams 100% wrong
Trevor is just a fanboy defending her
this is one of the rare times i disagree with him

    • +Haru Yanto firstly she didnt cheat. Watch the match you can clesrly see she isnt looking at her coach. She also seems very confused from the first call to the point fault. She even said thank you as she walked away from the warning. Probably thinking it was rescinded. Secondly it sounds like you are in school? But that is a dumb analogy. People get in trouble for talking during tests all the time without the person they were trying to talk to getting in trouble. Either way, this is not the issue.

    • RFID chip IS the Mark of the Beast! 3rd Temple will be built, antichrist is coming! Seek Jesus, repent! U MUST be born again!

    • MASTER YI you must be drunk

    • +apirate namedjohn
I will completely agree the call that ref made with the girl taking her shirt off to turn it inside out cause she was sweating is lame as hell. I think the rule should be changed. However, the rule of you’re not allowed to insult the ref is a very important one in all sports. You can argue, and get upset, she wasn’t docked for that. But you CANNOT call a ref a thief, that’s a slippery slope, eventually all athletes will be calling fake news every time they get a call they don’t like. The shirt thing was bullshit and sexist, calling a foul for insulting the ref, I’m sorry, I expected that as soon as she said it. I’m a fan of hers btw, I actually watched the match. Did you?

    • +William Cortelyou oh, you actually watched the match? Omg how amazing. No, i didnt watch it im just SUPER good at guessing what happened. If you read the previous posts you know i did. Im going to keep disagreeing with you. Ive already listed the reasons why in previous posts. The situation was handled way differently than it normally is for men.

  2. The Umpire Strikes Back ??? I can’t ???

  3. I love Trevor, but on the one hand he hates people generalising, on the other hand he generalises “white people”. (“I love how white people love animals”… come on…)

    • +Based God yeah I understand. I’m German and we’re really feeling bad about our incredibly dark history. So maybe I’m too sensitive for that humour

    • Simply apply Obama’s theory of disparate racial impact: does the percentage of jokes about blacks and whites represent their percentages of the general US population?
      No? RACIST!

    • +Social Justice Warrior I’m a 30 year old white male. I do not have pets or want pets. If I ever went on safari in Africa it would be to hunt. I do not see animals as equals. So I guess I am not your typical animal loving white man. I also know many people like me. I would not kill any animal just to see it die. But I would eat anything I killed and enjoy that. Yesterday I boiled a lobster that I caught because it’s lobster season in Florida. That was delicious . Didn’t think about keeping it as a pet or anything other than how tasty it would be with some butter.

    • Hostile Aks yes some people love animals more than they like other humans, and some just want to go out and destroy nature. We’re all different

    • +Fabian Huber Sigh… they say we study history so history doesn’t repeat itself. What I learn from history is that history always repeats itself.

  4. Been a massive fan of Trevor for years. But the recent seemingly endless onslaught of constant ‘race’ issues (it feels as if every second episode now focuses on race, with the default side dish of ‘white people this’ and ‘white people that’). Anyone else see the irony here in crying foul about one race being profiled… while profiling another in the same sentence? I know he means well, and I have utmost respect for Trevor. He’s brilliant, intelligent, eloquent… and funny. But the recent shift towards a seemingly endless theme of ‘black victims vs. their evil white oppressors’ is starting to get old. Yes, there are race issues – and they need their due attention. However, they are not the only issues that require attention – Trevor knows that, and I’m hoping sooner rather than later, he’ll return to top form by taking on a more balanced array of issues facing us all – wherever we may be, or whatever skin color we may have been born with.

Suggesting that racism only affects one group, and is generally perpetrated by one group, in itself holds racist overtones. I too have faced racism on many occasions in my life.. There is a world out there, beyond America. Racism isn’t defined only as ‘whites vs. blacks’. There is also racism against immigrants (I’ve faced it). Racism against ‘gaijin’ in Japan (I’ve faced it – there are restaurants in Tokyo which to this very day have signs in front that state “Japanese Only” – I’ve come across a few in my years living there)). Racism again Poles in Germany (it was quite strong in the 80s): I faced it. Racism against mixed race couples (we faced it often). Racism we’ve faced in restaurants in Nice, France- simply for switching to English after I reached my limited French capacity while trying to order food (waiter threw expletives, turned around, and refused to serve us). I could go on. Surely, I am not equating levels of racism to how much more hostile it was (or sometimes is) towards African Americans.

But, is there any benefit to saying “well, because one kid isn’t beaten up as badly as the other, we should completely ignore them every time they’re bullied, and act if it’s a non-issue?”

I’d simply like to see Trevor return to a more balanced approach to world-issues, rather than those he can most relate to. He has fans of all creeds, races, and from all nations. If someone is under the impression that it’s only racism when it targets blacks in America, but not other groups (whites included) or those in other nations, then it appears they hold racist tendencies.

Stay balanced and objective Trevor, it’s your single greatest asset (you have many). Cheers from two long time fans. 🙂

    • Has racism specifically stopped you from getting a loan? Getting a job? Renting an apt? Shopping in a store? How has racism specifically impacted your day to day life? If It doesn’t affect your life so it’s easy for you to give a dissertation.

    • Lisa B in Hawaii Lisa B in Hawaii exactly because black People need to always know that the way white people feel about things is most important. Blacks need to know that it is up to the white man to decide when and how they should discuss racism. Trevor must have forgotten he can only do this on certain days and times of the year that are acceptable to white People when their precious feelings aren’t so sensitive and they can accept it. But other times this won’t work. Perhaps you should provide a time chart for the times and dates it is acceptable to whites for blacks to talk about racism.

    • +t3b0g0 whites are being murdered in South Africa.

    • rayquan777765555344

      Joshua Sweetvale that was idiotic

  5. No one person is bigger than their sport. As she is great at her game, she doesn’t carry her sport. Next!

  6. C’mon Trevor, Serena is tennis??? What an insult to all other tennis players, women and man. She sure is great, if not greatest of all time than greatest of the era for sure. But your logic is Tom Brady is football and therefore he should have power to change umpires decisions if he doesn’t like them.
I have seen controversial judging decisions in every sport known to mankind, but never ever player threateningly pointing finger, calling judge a thief and demanding an apology for a decision judge is standing by without some kind of penalty for that player.
In fact in my opinion if player is not penalized for the bullying and insulting referee like Serena tried, that only means referee is a coward without any authority or credibility and shouldn’t be on the field.

    • Dylan Macon Well I’m not claiming I’m expert in watching all sports known to men or I have seen every sport incident ever, but every time i witnessed some player insults an umpire personally player was penalized. I’m not talking about emotional pleas where people are frantically explaining to umpire how he is wrong but about calling him jerk, thief, liar or similar. It is unsportsmanlike and it should be penalized.

    • When it comes to individual sports suxh as boxing tennis and golf. One person alone can bring mass appeal to the sport that everyone else can’t. Such as prime tiger woods and mike tyson

    • I noticed you didn’t name any other famous tennis players though…

  7. Serena Williams was in the wrong tho

  8. That specific umpire has a reputation of working ‘by the book’. At Serena’s elite level, she should have known better. With her complaining, she doesn’t represent me as a woman or the real struggles we face with real inequality with men in laboral field. We want equality so let’s not complain and throw tantrums when we are faced with the same rules across board.

    • Lol? Serena is arguing for equal pay for equal work? Then she should um, be fighting for genderless matches!
She’s perpetuating and taking advantage of sexism for her own benefit: e.g. more worried about playing lesser players to maintain her ‘winning’ than equality.

    • You forgot that several men did way worse to his face and he did nothing. Stop making excuses for people who don’t need protecting.

    • +DeGrate1896 If umpires are biased and Serena is actually fighting for women, She could have discussed this issue with tennis authorities and referees much earlier. She did not have to wait till now.

    • Chamal De Silva, sometimes one must strike while the iron is hot–or more to the point, one must strike while being set upon by the person holding the match(es).

    • The only thing that Serena is elite at is being a huge crybaby. Lol

      She is so washed up.

  9. Serena Williams displayed unprofessional conduct when performing her job as a sports entertainer. Not a true sportsman that is unable to handle defeat.

  10. Akhilesh Gannavarapu

    “Serena basically is tennis”.

I love Trevor, I do. But his comment was disrespectful to thousands of tennis players that uphold the integrity of the sport, and don’t throw tantrums on the court, or call the umpires “thieves” or threaten them of physical assault. Serena’s behavior was a disgrace, no matter how you saw it, especially with her coach agreeing to the umpire’s call.

Don’t glorify one player because she embodies your narrative, or the dialogue you think would further your agenda. That’s just wrong.

    • +Lick My Boobies she’s an sjw and a loud mouth spoiled brat athletes who disrespected him

    • Social Justice Warrior if a toddler threw a tantrum would you defend her because she’s a precious angel? If she represents tennis itself she got to be held to the same expectations as ALL who play the sport, if not, she’s playing a different game

    • +Social Justice Warrior lmfao your name ?

    • 90% of Americans can’t name one other tennis player. Go ahead and ask

    • You are missing the point. Nobody knows anyone else in female Tennis players besides Serena and maybe handful if not less. She is arguably the most dominant player to ever play the sport and most recognizable. But the fact that you missed the point of the joke and felt offended is really dumb and pathetic.

  11. I have been a fan of Trevor for quite long now, This time about the Serena’s issue, I think he is in the wrong side

  12. Serena Williams being boycotted by Umpires has nothing to do with her being Black. Serena acted like a spoiled brat during her last match against Naomi Osaka and the Umpire correctly enforced the rules.

Worst, after breaking her tennis racket and calling the Umpire a thief for giving her penalty point, Serena use her popularity with the crowd to boo Naomi after she fairly beat her.

    • Social Justice Warrior

Plenty of tennis players (especially white males) have done worse and more frequently, and most of them get off with a nothing but a slap on the wrist. This is a deliberate attack on Serena because she is black and female!

    • +Social Justice Warrior You’re not looking at all the information. The “white males” you’re speaking of also get ruled harshly by this particular umpire. This umpire is known for being strict with the rules. It wasn’t about race and sex.
Also, telling an Asian person that they’re biased because Naomi is part Japanese is generalising. You realize there are individual nationalities in Asia, right? A Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Laotian, etc. doesn’t root for a Japanese team. They root for their own country. Stop staking race where there isn’t even a place, especially not with how much ignorance and hypocrisy you’re spewing.

    • Haha social justice warrior. Good trolling mate, I see you.

    • She actually silenced the booers thought

    • Venus and Serena are genderbenders. Who the fuck cares about race besides bigoted and politically brainwashed puppets?

  13. i don’t think saying “all whites are racist” in jokes every week helps uniting all american people no matter the colour of their skin and therefore may even hurt the cause of equality.
on the other hand: I’m from europe, so what do I know about the USA.

    • *sigh* and if you think the jokes are racist/stupid/unhelpful, you automatically are white, a racist and part of the problem.. Everyone’s gone insane here.

    • Ibastiivids, don’t sell yourself short. Europe wrote the book on some forms of extremism–ethnocentrism, racism, xenophobia, “ethnic cleansing” and of course colonialism. One does not have to know the USA to know these aspects of human nature.

    • He didn’t say all whites are racist. White people are more afraid of black people than lions. That was the joke. More of an observation really.

    • Meh… They’re just the majority is all.

  14. You are wrong this time. Though she is one of the best tennis players of all time, but Tennis is not all about Serena Williams. There are other players out there who are as good as her if not better. And Naomi Osaka just proved that last week. My advice to you is don’t judge each and everything from racial perspective.

  15. She basically is tennis?
Shows you basically know nothing about tennis.
So stop commenting on something you know nothing about.

  16. He is so biased. It’s starting to sound like fox news. What serena did was not okay. I think if serena was on the other sode of the court, the segment would have been totally different.

  17. I really wish people would look at the facts before seeing the surface and reacting emotionally. Serena was targeted? The same umpire made the same calls for the same code violations to Djokovic and Nadal, two world class white male players for coaching (even though every coach does it), for breaking a racket and for verbal abuse (which Serena was far worse). She was losing and was going to lose. She’s been playing long enough to know that after a warning your going to lose a point, and then another point. Serena got robbed because the umpire turned a 4-2 loss to a 6-2 loss? Really?? Racist and sexist when it happened to two white men last year? It’s not even only her. The umpire gave her sister problems too. Serena was just being a sore loser, and she knew she fucked up when she saw Osaka crying at the podium.. but it was too late

    • Leftists/SJW do not worry about actual facts. It is all about ‘muh feelin’

    • Trevor didn’t called Umpire Racist no one did.

People are pointing out how Male players have done way wrong like hurting a helper during match to calling umpire son of b### but weren’t treated like how Serena was treated.
Did people called those athletes childish or called it tantrum ??? Nope.

All were called Angry nothing more..
And yup they smashed rackets still it’s anger but Serena did it and it’s childish.

Also Serena didn’t saw Coach so it wasn’t her fault or she was cheating. Yup for anger she should be punished Trevor didn’t denied it.

    • +timothy gavin her coach even said that at that time she wasn’t looking at him so she didn’t actually took coaching during that time so she wasn’t cheating. So many male athletes have thrown such temper tantrums and yet not one calls them that instead they refer to it as Anger.

  18. Social Justice Warrior

oh please. You’re just saying this because you are Asian. Of course your opinion is going to be biased considering who serena was playing against when it happened.

  19. matt d are you sure about that

  20. Vinuri W 100%. Ramos gave penalties to players like Nadal and Federer for the same things as Serena did

  21. Inspired By Nature Inspired By Nature she threw a tantrum

  22. Backsrteetboy123 wtf are you on about

  23. OLdyetrYlarP bableATErTho

hey fucker? you play tennis? prolly not. so here is a tl;dr from someone who does and watches a lot of games. coaching during games is no go but, most coaches whisper anyway and most refs ignore it. except for when its serena williams I suppose. besides that it seems like williams didnt even hear her coach so it coudl also just be coach mumbling around. did federer or nadal ever get flagged for such things? nope, most if not all ignore it. why do you all motherfuckers even talk about this? ever even had a god dam rack in your hand? bitches can serve but bark

  24. Social Justice Warrior just because you would do it, doesn’t mean others take a stand because they lean with their race.
Many blacks disliked Serena actions. Many fans or her of all races.

But whatever, you don’t see that. You apparently only lean to one side always.

  25. Social Justice Warrior, while I think “Hong Qin’s” use of a traffic example shows questionable historical grounding–given that race is precisely the reason for many traffic stops, tickets, and even traffic-related shootings–I also think that your attributing her opinion to her being “Asian” is a problem. Naomi Osaka is of Japanese and Haitian descent. The name “Hong Qin” is of neither origin (Chinese, maybe?) and there are huge historical conflicts between Japan and China. Further, the writing style suggests that the writer is American–as many Hongs and Qins are. So maybe the writer was just giving an opinion as a person–probably even as an American–and just happens to have the name “Hong Qin”? After all, we can’t change our names or our faces every time we want to give an opinion; we’d have to be Russian robots to do that.

  26. The joke was about white people being less afraid of lions than they are of black people, and the video proves it lol.
