I still need to play this game. Love the devs and it always looked intriguing. I’m a sucker for “Deralict Ship, OH goodness what happened here” storyline.
I loved this game. It is short, but it is soooo detailed. For example, you can see the thumbprints of whoever held the tablet before you, their grease smudge on the back of them. It has a good story, I hope there is a Tacoma 2.
one thing i like of this “walking simulators” even with the most boring ones is the idea that you are investigating what happens in this place, reading scraps of paper and listening to audiologs with that in mind i dont think that every walking sim need a minigame like in edith finch, just embrace more the idea of the player bein a detective,or journalist investigating wharever place may be,maybe hidden more thoses logs and hide tips on thoses logs to solve a puzzle, for instance the password of someone computer is the date of birth of his son/dauther
I like Tacoma not for the game itself but for the hatred it creates in certain people. You know the type. The one that gets really upset over “fat gay people in space” as one put it.
Tbh I’m gay and I have friends that majorly do not approve of homosexuality. As long as they don’t treat me different I am fine with them having their opinions, that’s what America is all about. The people that act like unless you are a staunch supporter, you are a homophobe, is who I don’t like. They will truly treat you different because you have a different opinion.
As a gay man I do have a problem with all this gay stuff in my games. As in there ain’t enough of it. All this heterosexuality shoved down my throat.. just makes me sick. We all know they wouldn’t let straights on interstellar space ships, entirely unrealistic.
Played it! 🙂 And it was a mellow kind of melancholy good time. You can easily see how it has the same sort of feel as Gone Home in the end. Having this feeling of dread and then… Well, you’ll just have to play it to find out! 😉
Oh hey, it’s [game whose name I keep hearing in passing conversation but haven’t actually seen or sought footage of yet].
Hi daddy see you on Monday
Is this toyotas promotional game?
I LOVED Tacoma. A lot of walking sims stumble at the ending but they totally nailed this one.
