For those wondering, Sonic can “move at the speed of sound” and Kirby’s Warp Star can fly at the speed of light at maximum speed, hence why you can’t see him at the end of his acceleration.

They start revealing the characters strong with the Inkling, Ridley, and King K. Rool, and then end it with a Piranha Plant. Don’t get me wrong, I like how Piranha Plant is playable, but you’d think it would end stronger than how it started.

Little note on the Piranha Plant. When it uses its poison breath attack, it briefly takes on the color scheme of a Putrid Piranha from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I always love Sakurai’s attention to detail.
