I was so pissed when I found out I couldn’t link my account to my Switch. I knew Sony was protective, but this is a new low. I’m never playing a cross-platform multiplayer game on a Sony console again. Nintendo can have that money.

Imagine being someone who has invested real money into cosmetics for your Fortnite account and you’ve had a great time playing it on the PS4. Now a proper mobile alternative comes out you want to play it on your switch with YOUR account but Sony is keeping it hostage and they never even warned you they would do that. That is massively anti-consumer and like others have said almost seems illegal when Fortnite has got nothing to do with Sony.
It’s getting to the point where I am scared to use any future game with a third-party account on the PS4. Why would _anyone_ want to use a console that makes you do this?
It’s even worse than how you described here. My PC account was locked out of my Nintendo Switch because I played ONE MATCH on my PS4 using my epic account.
