@WVV – Sure. If they’d shown more, I might have a better impression, but that’s what we were shown. The HD Remaster of Nocturne looks pretty good and it is getting a PS4 release (hopefully PS5 BC) – so that’s cool.
@WVV Yeah but… The Switch isn’t Region locked. So technically you can play Japanese games on your Switch no problem. Some even have English Subtitles like Super Robot Wars V

lucifer appearing at the start got me thinking this had some connection to nocturne…
@PhantasosX Games Lucifer’s goal is to presumably free himself(and everything that was created by the Great Will) from its grasp, so he goes both against the Axiom and YHVH. Destroying YHVH is kind of synonymous with destroying/denying the Great Will itself, so that’s why he’s actively seeking out the Messiah of each worldline in the Amala.
Stephen himself is kind of similiar to Luci, but he stated that he wants humanity to realize its own potential, so that implies that the Great Will is holding everything back, because it wants to(for some reason or the other that YHVH himself does not understand).

@Shiroshii i dont think he cares about the axiom just YHVH after 2 happend. the axiom hates him YHVH as well. I think this is a sequel to nocturne and the guy is demi.

@Martinez A The Nocturne remaster will also be on PS4, but SMTV is likely to remain a Switch exclusive.
@wetbiskit I’ve heard nocturne is good and is easier to get into for persona fans compared to the other SMT mainline games, I’ll consider trying it depending on the price. I was also wondering if there are any obvious flaws or nitpicks regarding it and do you know how long the average playthrough is?

In fairness this was at the end of the Direct Mini. I think most people checked out by the time they got to SMT lol.
even though there’s no persona 5 for the switch, smt5 makes you forget you even needed one

is it just me or does this seem directly connected to nocturne? mostly cause lucifer and the demon the protag touches looks eerily similar to a mutate/evolved demi-fiend

It is for a Megaten game, not sure about other Atlus games.
SMT typically is more gameplay heavy and less story heavy than something like a persona so it can be localized a lot quicker. Way less content to voice.
Dreikoo then again, SMT IV had a year delay after the NA release
