That shot at the beginning of the video was perfection. I loved the centering of the crosshair, the pause, then the inevitable shot. The absurdity of it had me laughing.
That opening music over the RE footage gave me the biggest grin. Thank God for Jim.

So many old obscure cartoon characters have been namedropped by Stephanie by now, that i’m genuinely unsure whether i’ve heard this one before or not
It’s a good touch that they explain why Ethan wouldn’t get bodied in the more chaotic combat of 8. Chris has been training him and you can see it in the pistol reload animation. He’s less of a Harry Mason in this one and closer to the green as grass RE2 Leon.

As a huge Resident Evil fan, all I can say is I’ve been very happy this last 4 years
I’m honestly surprised it being like RE4 didn’t turn out to be a bad thing.
Also I’m really happy see that boulder punching is canon now.

Considering the money is called “Lei” and Dimitrescu is a Romanian name; everybody is pretty sure we’re in Romania.
The point about Lady Dimitrescu being a figuratively and literally giant distraction was very apt. You’re right, we have no idea what else is waiting for us in the game, really, and I think that was kinda brilliant.
