I’m definitely looking forward to this game. It’s not even nostalgia at this point, that era of games were great games in their right. But they also didn’t try to do ridiculous things except make an engaging game with the right atmosphere.
Two RE:2 remakes coming out, excited for both. The board game is looking better each update, and even has Hunk and Tofu minis!
They really need to make games like mgs1 and re 2 small dense area that you can get the feel of and intimate. So sick of open world

One day capcom will get into peoples good books again. But for now RE2, DMC5, mega man 11 and monster hunter might be another good start for them to be good. Just fix the issue with their fighting games and people might be more forgiving of them, might.
To this day Resident Evil 2 remains my favorite in the series; the A and B game mechanics, the sprawling Racoon City location, the V/O, the level design. Just pure awesome.
As much as I love the Original and Directors Cut versions of the first title, Res 2 just amped it up so much in such a good way. Res 3/Nemesis was a great follow up title, my second fave of the series joint with the first game, Code Veronica was a step back in my mind. Decent, but a step back.

The original Silent Hill sticks out as a shining example of low graphical fidelity adding to the creepiness.
