PUBG Dev Says Sony Is Very Strict With PS4 Games… Hahaha!

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS isn’t on PS4 and will apparently remain Xbox One exclusive for a while… part of the reason is that Sony is strict.

This reason seems incongruous when you consider Life Of Black Tiger and other terrible games flooded the PlayStation Store last year, though there is a nucleus of understandable, is disagreeable, logic…

  1. Yes, and Randy Pitchford is an honest man.

  2. The thing is… They are for some games. Just look at nuclear throne… Rami has been trying to get an updated to fix bugs out for 2 years on the vita but to this day they keep finding “issues” with it and rejecting it even though it’s build is better than the launch game.

  3. jim sterling do you like vore

  4. Do you like anime

  5. Question Your World

Didn’t For Honor, Destiny 2, and Battlefront 2 have a PS4 port? How exactly are they strict about quality?

  6. At least Sony lowers their prices eventually, Older Nintendo games are still at full price.

  7. That’s like saying Bungie absolutely know what they’re doing with Destiny 2. Hahahaha.

  8. Polish Paul VR Your PSVR dude

As if Sony have high standards last year i bought so many shit games, if you have time have a look at ATV Drift and Tricks from Microids which was voted shittiest PSVR game by my viewers (developers basicly took Moto Racer 4 and changed bikes for quads and sold it as a new game – thats how high sonys standards are lol)

  9. So Sony said they require the game to at least boot up and PUBG thought that was strict. Doesn’t surprise me since we know what PUBG thinks is acceptable for release.

  10. Anyone quietly hoping that Black TIger gets put up on the PS+ monthly games?

  11. Jim, do you trust the company that made the emoji movie to make good decisions

  12. Life of black tiger is known as a shitty game-life of black tiger is a shitty game.
Pubg was nominated for best game of the year- pubg is a jumbled mess no where deserving of that title or nomination with a even more shitty console port.
No one expects life of black tiget to be good. Everyone expects pubg to be amazing. Id rather know im buying shit, than buy something i think is good and is terribly optimized. Id rather have a developer whos silent, than a developer who thinks hes created an entire genre of gaming. Id rather have a developer dedicated to the realism that is the life of a black tiger, than the minecraft hybrid that is console pubg.
Life of black tiger for president screw pubg.

    BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  14. I don’t think Sony cares about a game quality from a gameplay or editorial perspective. Mostly likely they care about stability: i.e. game doesn’t crash nor lag. The PS4 graphics API is low level, so a bad crash in the graphics code can in theory crash the whole system.

  15. I still think PUBG is just a sh*tty asset flip that got famous somehow. Way to set an example for all the other asset flips out there.

  16. PUBG is what pisses me off about gaming culture, and more specifically about indie gaming. The game is still in “early access”, and it barely works. Yet, it’s already getting “game of the year” nods. You have the creator of the game basically saying Sony should be more like Valve and Microsoft by having ZERO standards when it comes to what gets uploaded. The games you mentioned Jim are undeniably bad, it takes 30 seconds to see that. However, PUBG is a bad game that’s been cleverly disguised as a good one, and people are falling for it hand over fist.

  17. Because these are not game developers these are people who just want money. They want their 1 or 2 games to be a “service”.

Yo jim I heard about life of black tiger a bout a year before it came out on ps4, I was reading about popular handheld games in japan/china and apparently there is a PvP version of this game and its some kind of cult classic in japan, I would be willing to bet this is why it made its way to the ps4.
