Also you haven’t fucked your character up at all. All skills are valuable, and you can eventually fabricate neuromods. Don’t sweat it, there’s lots of backtracking and it’s absolutely not necessary or expected to get into every single room or terminal.
I had a fun time with Prey, I just hate how Bethesda keeps preventing reviews from coming before the game release. Makes me really distrust everything from Bethesda.
I remembered the first Prey fondly due to it being one of my first games on X box 360, this is still good, but the Original had alot more going for it in terms of Level design and strangeness, then again I suppose it is the reverse premise this time round, with a Human Space station and not an Alien Spaceship (lets face it, the name is the only connection)
i will not buy this game for one reason, Bethesda touched it, that company, its practices, and bullshit, they do not deserve one more penny of my income, i have no reason anymore to trust or buy there things, from fallout 4 being a clearly obvious late alpha/ early beta, dishonored 2’s unacceptable state at launch, the cash grab of skyrim SE (the new port, not script extender), and finally there consumer unfriendly ‘new’ review policy
oh btw if you’re 4 hours in and can already scan enemies you’re probably playing the game wrong, like pretty much every videogame critic right now, blasting through a game this enormous is so annoying to me. your problems are because you’re impatient and greedy, the game is non-linear and fully explorable, any door you can’t open or computer you can’t hack early on you can return to later, if you wanted to start out as shotgun badass it’s not the game’s fault you didn’t.
I honestly have no idea why this game is named Prey; it feels like it might be something Bethesda might have shoehorned it because they owned the license and wanted to use it. This game is unabashedly System Shock 3 and would have done better under that IP, or if not that then its own new one.
Watching people play this with a controller is painful holy shit. I get it, its more comfy and most people don’t have computers or have them at their desk but jesus this is the wrong game for controller use, like playing Deus Ex on ps2

Brilliant game, but you need to like classic System Shock, otherwise you’re not gonna enjoy yourself.
I mean, its explained in the story that if you take out neuromods your memory resets.

Fantastic game, a much slower burn than something like Doom but it is great.
