God this is so fucking embarrassing lmao. I know some of it they really couldn’t “control” ???? but to have them all on stage acting hella corny like nothing was wrong the entire time while the crowd was booing and shouting “we can’t play”…I’m glad at least the CMO addressed it and they gave out refunds. Really a shame. I can’t wrap my brain around how they didn’t foresee ANY issues with connectivity & prepare themselves given that they’d have 25k+ people all playing at the same time in a concentrated area..smh. I guess on all ends it sucked for everyone to deal with this.

I think the most frustrating part of this whole thing is that, on Niantic’s biggest day ever, with the trust of thousands of fans, with a YEAR of beta testing and network problem solving to prepare, Niantic STILL couldn’t pull through.
