Man, Orisa is awesome. Played her a bit on the PTR and she doesn’t feel horribly broken. Sure, her abilities are like those of other characters, yes, but she doesn’t do any of them as well as those heroes. Her barrier is less than half the strength of Reinhardt’s and when placed can’t be adjusted, nor is it a bubble like Winston’s. It’s one way and one way only. Her Fortify, while powerful, only lasts four seconds, and she can easily still be shredded with focused fire. Her Alt Fire only pulls enemies to a spot if they’re within like…fifteen feet, and they don’t stay there. She can pull people out of cover, away from allies, or stop them from escaping, provided the player is able to kill them after.
She only has about as much health as Roadhog does, 200 health and 200 armor for a total of 600 effective. She doesn’t eat up bullets like Defense Matrix, and her barrier is basically just deployable cover rather than a constantly moving wall, so don’t worry Reinhardt and D.Va mains, she isn’t a better blocker. She’s a front-line assault Tank with a side of Support, she can’t protect an advancing team or eat Projectile based ultimates. And she can’t deal massive damage to entire groups with a single click like Reinhardt either. Everyone’s favorite German Grandpa isn’t going anywhere any time soon, if ever.
All of her abilities also have 7-10 second long cooldowns, and none of them are movement abilities. She’s a huge target, and is quickly shredded under sustained fire. Just keep shooting until she’s forced to Fortify, then keep firing. It only lasts four seconds, and after that she won’t have it again for a while.
The ONLY thing I can think of that is overpowered is her primary fire, and even that’s only slightly. I don’t see her replacing D.Va, she isn’t a highly mobile flanking Tank. She can’t protect an entire advancing team or deal massive damage to multiple enemies at the same time, so Reinhardt isn’t going anywhere. She also can only protect herself with Fortify and doesn’t gain bonus damage when shot, so Zarya and her life-saving shields + massive DPS potential are safe as well. Hell, even Winston is safe because she doesn’t have the mobility that he does, plus she has some trouble up close against agile characters like Genji, who Winston is fantastic against.
None of the other Tanks are going anywhere, and if they are, it won’t be because of Orisa, I’m confident in saying that. None of the things she does can’t be done better by another Hero. But what makes her great is her versatility. She’s like the Soldier: 76 of the Tank class, she can do a little bit of everything, and she can do it all well enough that she doesn’t suffer for it.
Dropped a dislike because i got annoyed in the first 10 seconds with the 10000 holys and gods and hells.

i’m in tears laughing, Orisa is a hero that is like fuck team work. I don’t need a reinhardt i got my own shield, i got my own firepower, bastion. Zarya please i can displace and deny CC on my own thankyou… enemies on the point you say well i better power myself up since mercy or ana isn’t going to do it for me, and you idiots can have some too~
Solo Centaur’s only weakness at this point is lack of mobility, and I guess sustain?- the ocasional genji that tries to throw himself infront of her?
