Dunkey, I love you and your videos, but I seriously hate when you go out of your way to purposely make a game look bad just to keep the negative criticism consistent:
– Purposely making the battle system look like a slog by clearly ignoring the very mechanics that are supposed to make the battles faster – Undermining anything about Ophilia’s character by editing together a compilation of her saying “Your Excellency” which somehow justifies your claim of “bad writing”. – Not mentioning anything that could be possibly redeeming about the game (music, artstyle, literally any other gameplay mechanic that’s not the random encounters).
Like seriously, even though this isn’t labeled “Dunkview” people will take this video at face value and use it as a way to justify not purchasing the game. Of course, this wouldn’t be a bad thing since all of these types of videos are subjective. But the problem is; since you blatantly leave out or fail to mention anything other than the negatives (which you said exist, but never mentioned), the casual viewer that trusts *you* as a reliable source of game criticism will see this video and think “Oh, judging from this video there is absolutely nothing redeemable or positive about this game, all there is is “Your Excellency” and random encounters!”.
It’s not that I have a problem with your criticisms, it’s that you purposefully go out of your way to stretch and exaggerate them to look as jarring and unappealing as possible, and people will eat that up and go straight to cynicism in the comment section against anyone who likes the game or disagrees with you.
Aren’t you the same person that rightfully shat on game-journos for criticizing games they don’t complete? Doesn’t this video only cover the content that the demo has? Anyway, don’t be so obvious in deleting comments.
oof that xenoblade 2 roast
The game looks mad boring but I got to give it to them, the style of graphics is insanely intriguing.
Your Knackalency
yOUr ExCeLLEnCy
it’s not a (dunkview) don’t get your bookwarm adventures in a twist y’all
I personally can understand why someone wouldn’t like this game, but personally I really enjoy it 🙂
That seems fine and all, but I’m still disappointed that this isn’t Bookworm Adventures.
JRPGs aren’t for everyone…myself included.
“Whoever made random encounters should be kicked into a pit of spikes and shot with a bazooka”
I WANT THIS ON A SHIRT!!!
*moans*: YOUR EXCELLENCY

I think the problem is you just don’t like turn-based combat.
Octopaths main problem is it’s not a refined rpg like bookworm deluxe
Your excellency? Psycho Mantis?
Dislike for this video not being a review about Bookworm Deluxe… About 7.7K folks agree with me.
People in here acting like Dunko just clowned on their favorite anime
Here come the anime warriors
