Often our best really isn’t good enough. That’s why many good games are made by more than one person.
MIDNITE MATINEE – But I Did The Best I Coooouuuuuuld!

TRIED SO HARD AND GOT SO FAR BUT IN THE END IT DOESN’T EVEN MATTER
Read title as Midnight Manatee.
Now I’m even more disappointed.
I actually quite like the art style. If it was a bit better and had the
rest of the game match the theme, it could really work
this looks like A zero budget salad fingers drawn by a 12 year old
Damn it! I thought this said Midnight Manatee. Would have been a better
game!
I think they should of just doubled down on the “art style” and claim that
it was a deliberate decision and it represents something to do with the
story or something. Indie hipsters would eat that shit up.
One of those rare moments when I actually kinda like the art style (it
reminds me of something like Yume Nikki or Off), but the quality is just so
crappy that I can’t praise it at all.
I got a minute to spare, let’s see what’s on your mind
What is it with these Greenlight devs simply refusing to get a translator?
You could probably find one for free if you actually tried.
looks so incompetent that it’s come back around and become good.
PC MASTER RACE. LOL
Meanwhile in China….
I mean, if the game seed to have good gameplay, I’d could get over the
style.
So… Is this some kind of a trend? Are there really people out there who
just purposely use the wrong client, or do they just not have a client of
their own to use? Steam exists in China, right? I suppose it’s entirely
possible that Steam in China doesn’t have Greenlight (yet?), but things
like this still baffle me. I can recall numerous instances of playing MMOs
on the North American client of the game, and then people get on the text
chat speaking Spanish and Russian. I get that that’s possible in the US
because of how racially diverse it is, but that still confuses me as to why
people would do something like that when they have the option not to.
Well, since people liked Undertale, I don’t see why this wouldn’t be a
valid choice.
I mean, it’s the same thing. Guy makes a game with lots of really bad
drawings but the plot and gameplay somehow catches the audience (and
manages to create an annoying fanbase).
You can also make the excuse that it was all “intentional”.
Duhhhhscription!
Better than Undertale.
“Just don’t try” come on Jim… that’s a little harsh don’t you think?
Everyone should be allowed to try but not to show to others if it doesn’t
match the desire.
Jim, did you see the EarlyNinja kickstarter?
