putting a download code on what should have been a big 30th anniversary release is a bit low

Wow. That sucks for Switch gamers since on the PS4, Legacy Collection Volume 1 and Legacy Collection Volume 2 both got individual disc and digital releases.
WHY THE FUCK IS LEGACY 2 AN ADDED DOWNLOAD CODE? I really wanted both games to be physical. Sorry capcom, I love mega man but that’s a deal breaker for me.
I think this is the first time I went from sheer joy to utter disgust with a product with one simple look at an image: the goddamn download banner on the box art. Revelations, I could deal with. Bayonetta, understandable. But the Legacy Collections? Just… NO. HELL NO. It took forever to port these games, and now you expect us to pay at minimum $30 for only 1 of these games physically? And of course it’s the >1 gb game that is a compilation of rom imports and not the 6 gb game that people would more likely want to have physically. Just… fuck off Capcom. You’ve utterly killed my enthusiasm, especially since I’m sure there will be a Japan exclusive version with either both carts or everything on 1 cart because it can all fit on 1 of Nintendo’s cheapest bloody carts! Hell, at this rate why don’t I just buy the combo pack right now off steam for $18? Better yet, why don’t I just emulate the games like you are?
And the best part? They plan to release the X series as two separate games as well within the same year. To be even more shameless about it. The Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection raised my hopes and this dashed them.

MMLC2 as a download code in the physical version of the game AND for an extra $5 is making me skip this almost entirely

Capcom, for fuck’s sake. You’ve really got to stop this pathetic nonsense of doing physical releases where half of the content is download only. Especially in this case where both games could easily fit on one card. My interest in this just went into a nose dive.
