Mass Effect Andromeda’s “My Face is Tired” Scene Before & After Patch

  1. hopefully they fix the writing next

  2. These are huge improvements compared to pre patch. And it only took two weeks, roughly, to patch it. So why couldn’t have this been in the base game.

    “Sorry, my face is tired…”

Can anyone please explain to me how this line makes any sense? Who talks like this?

  4. There’s no way in hell they did this in under two weeks. They knew this was a problem and have been working on this beforehand.

  5. Remember the good old days when paying full price meant getting a complete and polished game, and not basically buying a beta or even alpha stage game and making customers pay the company to be their testers?

  6. I can tell at least one animation is recycled from Mass Effect 2. You know the one when the character (Shepard or not) gets closer to their interlocutor, getting right in their face? It’s at 2:05. There’s even the exaggerated head bob

Anyway, this looks better. Pity: I was hoping this game would fail and still do. Improved facial animations won’t save the poor writing this game has

  7. If we’re all just real honest with ourselves for a second:
That’s not a patch cobbled together in two weeks. The game was rushed, whoever you want to blame for that, and now it’s gradually gonna be improved to actually reach gold status. And once it goes on sale we’ll have a half-decent game for 30 bucks.
And maybe even learn not to pre-order anymore, or how to freeze hell idk…

  8. Now she looks fuckable!! ???

  9. almost like they were forced to release it before it was finished

  10. Thanks for beta testing the game everyone so I can buy the proper release for $30.

She still sounds like a buffering porn level actress though.

  12. nope, still not gunna buy an EA game. Haven’t since MA3, not gunna change that now

  13. This is why I pirate games.

The patch makes it look better, to be sure. Addison and Ryder aren’t simply dead-pan and emotionless anymore, and the general feel of the game looks far more realistic. That being said, I still refuse to buy this game on principle; they could patch away every terrible animation, every terrible facial feature, all of the glitches with walking, all of the horrible dialog, and all of the ret-conned lore, and I would STILL refuse to buy it because ALL OF THESE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NON-ISSUES IN THE FIRST PLACE.

These problems are issues I expect from small-time development studios, or on a new IP… This is Bioware, a well-known and highly respected development studio that has been established for a very long time and has an immense amount of financial backing from a very large publisher. On top of that, this is the FOURTH game in the Mass Effect series, which has a long-established lore and a huge legacy behind it. For these types of issues to be so prevalent is completely unacceptable; people should be voting with their wallet and refusing to buy the game outright.

Consumers deserve better than this mess. Until they stand up and refuse to buy these garbage products, developers and publishers will not realize that this low-quality standard is NOT acceptable.

  15. Because ea is forcing the deadline and bioware just cant finish in time

  16. Look at Japan developers, and see how pretty they can make their girls look.. Now look at todays western companies like Bioware, ugh <.< SJW made game <.<

  17. Better. Voice acting is still bullshit though.

  18. It’s still pretty sub par
