“Streaming” games in this case means things like PS Now….playing the games from a cloud via subscription services. Things like that. Has nothing to do with streamers on Twitch, YT, etc.

That’s the way that all gaming is heading. When internet connectivity isn’t an issue anymore, there will be no reason to not stream games.

Exactly, and satellite internet is not suitable for game streaming. Service providers aren’t exactly rushing to dump money into spreading internet infrastructure either to rural areas, since the return on investment would be too slow.

@Deborah Lancaster Yes you are right, but that wasn’t the focus. It is about Sony and what they plan to do differently. I.E marketing stuff, types of game for it, whether there will still be hard copies of games or all digital, ect.

For the people saying this video title doesn’t say it’s about ps5, why would it need to even mention the ps5 in the title if it has nothing to do with it? , If you read the English written there you will read that the video is about how “Sony”(the company) is planning something different “WITH PS5″the next generation of console, this means that they will tell you about the things Sony has planned for the ps5 to make it different compared to previous PlayStation e.g. ps4, PS3,ps2,ps1 consoles, which this video does actually not do, so hence they should change the title.

The problem is that the US is just so damn big. The infrastructure just isn’t there to cheaply/easily provide high speed internet to nearly everyone like say Denmark, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, etc.

A niche doesn’t have to be a small market to be a niche. No one else is selling playstations.
I don’t think that will ever be the case. We will simply start the game like normal, but instead of it being on the local hardware, it will be streamed.
And, that is PS4 console only. We have other consoles 🙂
