While being young, the fear of not finding the abortion service in time or not being able to pay for it on time poisoned my sex life to no end. I am 37 now, childless, thank God, and the risk of pregnancy declines. However, I still have to worry about contraception, because you can apparently get pregnant even past 40. Anyway, religious gibberish aside, from a practical point of view, a functional adult is better than an abandoned infant, who may or may not survive and requires immence investment to become a functional adult. Not only should abortion be legal, it should also be accessible and available. I cannot imagine the horror of finding out you are obligated to carry out a pregnancy to term and go through the torture that is giving birth!! That is like treating a woman as a farm animal forced to breed for the benefit of the farmer. Man, the US sure seems like a bad place to live at the moment…

And yet, the “right to lifers” don’t care about the children once they’re born. Truly paints them as merely “anti-choice”.
