@fitzy098 They’re using the most stable build they have currently for the demo, which is from 4 months ago, so it makes sense that maybe it doesn’t live up to your standards. However, calling it an underwhelming product? How can you tell it’s “underwhelming” from eight minutes and no actual hands on time? That’s some real judging a book by its cover shit right there. On top of that I’m assuming you have a career in game design since you’re so sure of yourself in saying it is underwhelming, because from where I’m sitting they still have plenty of time before their holiday release to polish all of the rough edges, especially considering this instance of the game is once again, 4 months old.

@Arneilious Stronghaus you know having good graphics has nothing to do with gameplay right? You can have a visually stunning game with a shitty story and in the end that game is shit. There isn’t anything particularly wrong with the graphics in this game but everyone has this preconceived notion that better graphics automatically means better gameplay so are automatically writing this game off. Im actually happy they are going back to their roots and sticking with the original design. And before you call me a Xbox fan boy, I do not own consoles.
I wonder if they’ll release this demo for people to play in the meantime.

Interesting use of the “shield hexagons” to indicate the chief’s shield recharging. It looks a bit distracting – I wonder if they’ll change it a bit in the final game to make it a slightly less intrusive UI element.
Idk. I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t see anything else when Im super focused. So the fact it shoves it up your face like that will be useful for a guy like me who keeps playing halo like it’s Doom. I die alot.
I personally think it looks cool but if you think it looks distracting that’s your opinion and I can’t argue with that
