Something interesting you didn’t bring up that while not dead Drifloon are extremely rare in modern Sinnoh but in Hisui they are EVERYWHERE at night. Drifloon are know for kidnapping children (We literally have a quest where we stop a Drifloon from taking a kid) so its likely that they were hunted to near extinction by humans for safety.
I mean this can all easily be handwaved as the pokemon didn’t exist in prior gens but any future revisits to those regions will have them, there’s rumours that the hisuian version of goodra is in the scarlet violet pokemon game
