The description of the gem system reminds me of the defunct ‘Avengers Alliance’ Facebook game. It also had character enhancement via gems with the best ones being available through extreme grinding or cold, hard cash.

But it’s totally optional Jim. Lootbodes have caused nothing wrong to happen ever and they are completely in the right here. Don’t mind the gun being aimed at my back while I say this they told me it was completely optional to say something bad.
I play the game (it’s as boring to me as diablo 3) but I like to play alone and I’m playing along story. Sure as hell ain’t giving them a dollar or a dime at all. XD
Edit: Also the game story mode is piss easy for me so far and I’m like, 10 levels above the main quests already. Why would I need better loot when it’s this easy? and I don’t care about investing time into PVP or the social aspect? XD
There is no such thing as a rich person who isn’t “tiny”. People do not get rich by being the bigger man. They get rich by taking the low road and robbing people of their fair wealth. There is no such person who works 130x harder than their lowest worker.
The sad thing is, the game will be successfull and will make tons of money.

So… is this where we point out the irony that Blizz can’t release this game in their own ‘home country’? Reminder: ActiBlizz HQ is *in* The Netherlands, officially, which is how they get away with not paying corporate income tax in the US.
