Activision Blizzard is hopping into the realm of the battle royale once more with Call of Duty: Warzone. It is a Call of Duty battle royale game. That’s about all you need to know.

A competent, mechanically enjoyable shooter that suffers from aesthetic blandness and a quiet, drab atmosphere. Basically, it’s a Call of Duty battle royale game.

  1. i feel like the only music Jim listens to is progressive funk

  2. We all know this isn’t Jims gameplay you can tell because the person playing is actually getting kills

  3. Just Some Guy without a Mustache

I do like the concept that it gives you a second chance if you get sent to the gulag

  4. I think the best part is that mechanics like mounting or peeking open doors get used a lot more. It feels…well, tactical, for lack of a better term.

Also, you’re so fucking right about the fact that none of these characters are endearing. This isn’t even an issue of setting. They just aren’t. Not even Cheeki Breeki Yegor.

  5. No Jim, the plane is not pooping people, is giving birth to multiple cash cows.
Or maybe Activision is pooping this games?

  6. “Poo” – Jim Sterling, 2020

  7. The Sweeney!!!

  8. I bought CoD:MW but lost interest in it really quick, same with all BR games, but oddly enough this Warzone BR mode is so addictingly fun.

  9. My favorite part of the Warzone review was when Jim talked about his cashew allergy

  10. A comically overexposed brand being lazily plugged into a comically overstuffed genre is peak AAA gaming.

  11. Ah yes call of warzone: dutyfare!!!

  12. That quote about your seduction techniques had me spit/laugh my lunch on my keyboard at work. Thanks Jim.

  13. “It’s about as exciting as my seduction techniques which mostly involve crying” that took me out

  14. “It’s fine,” is the nicest thing Jim has said about a CoD game in ages.

  15. I don’t know why Jim referring to himself dying from Corona-chan with “the goose is fucking cooked” made me burst out with some horse sounding laugh, but it did.

  16. Never thought I’d hear ‘The Sweeney’ opening theme in a Jim video.. maybe use ‘The Professionals’ in the next one!
