When Bethesda’s right, it’s right. The company has not-so-subtly suggested it may skip the PS4 version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends if Sony refuses cross-platform play, as it has done for games like Rocket League and Fortnite.
Even though it’s just a card game spinoff, Bethesda’s long game ain’t too shabby.

This is actually a good long term punishment if Sony loses a big publisher that releases decent quality games. With upcoming Doom Eternal and Fallout 76, Sony better be prepared to lose sales. Of course Bethesda should ransom both games.
Let the world play games together for godsake, why do we need separate consoles to play with friends alike, god I missed out on playing so much with my friends when I was younger because I had a PS3 and they all had xboxs. Makes me sad.

Ive been a PS4 gamers since launch, its the better choice of console for games, but Sony’s archaic stance on no cross-play is ridiculous.
If everyone else is doing it, just do yourself a favor and join everyone else. It makes it easier to not be a lil shite.

The issue certainly isn’t dead to me, I complain about it weekly as it really makes running community games in Rocket League a pain and someone is always left out.
The thing is, this comes from the fact the userbase is going to be so small they REQUIRE cross-play or else the game would be an immediate flop.
