that insane woman with a knife was literally straight up angela from silent hill 2. This game is awesome with all the classic survival horror refs, with the zombie head tilt in the last video too.

I’ve gotten so used to Lixian’s jump scares that they don’t even phase me anymore.
I really enjoyed this one! It was a nice throwback to the days when horror games had lots of great creepy atmosphere and puzzles instead of being entirely hack and slash peppered with jump scares. Endless hack and slash with tons of grinding gets old after a while. This has atmosphere, story, puzzles, different types of enemies and weapons. It felt lacking a bit in character development, but really that’s all, and it’s not that there wasn’t any, so I may just be being picky. For the style of game the background character development is adequate. Two thumbs way up.
I bet if you kill the vorpal bunny you get the key to that side door

this reminds of old-school horror, with it not being *too* scary but having a lot of combat scenes. also all the cut scenes. love it. very comforting to watch mark play
